Amid the deteriorating political and security situation in Sudan, marked by escalating violence and the widening targeting of civilians and political leaders, the assassination of Osama Hassan emerged as one of the most significant events reflecting the severity of the current phase.

(TASIS) was killed in a drone strike that targeted his house in Nyala south Darfur. This incident has sparked widespread reactions, particularly within political and civil circles.

In this context, the Civil Democratic Alliance of the Revolution (SOMOUD) issued a statement of condolence and condemnation, expressing strong denunciation of the incident and describing it as a political assassination targeting an unarmed civilian. The statement emphasized that such actions contribute to complicating the political scene and push it further toward closure and tension.

The alliance also noted that the continuation of this pattern of violence would deepen the national crisis and undermine opportunities for peaceful solutions at a time when political dialogue is increasingly needed as an alternative to armed confrontations.

The statement included condolences to the family and colleagues of the deceased while stressing the importance of halting violations and creating a political environment based on peace and stability.
