Notables of the Bawadra tribe, led by Mak Mukhtar Mutawakkil Dikin, honored the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jaafar, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country.
The honoring took place during a friendly meeting marked by an atmosphere of mutual appreciation, where attendees expressed feelings of loyalty and gratitude. This comes in a context that reflects the strength of bilateral relations between the two countries, built on a historic legacy and deep-rooted fraternal ties that have continued to grow across various official and popular levels.
The Bawadra notables praised the ambassador’s role during his tenure in Sudan, noting that he set an example of open diplomacy toward society through his direct engagement with traditional leaderships and community figures, as well as his visits to several Sudanese states and regions.
They also commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s supportive stance toward Sudan, particularly during the war and humanitarian crisis, pointing to relief and development efforts and political positions that, they said, reflected the Kingdom’s deep commitment to Sudan’s stability and support for its people in difficult circumstances.
For his part, Ambassador Ali bin Hassan Jaafar expressed his deep gratitude for this initiative, affirming his pride in the relationships he built with the Sudanese community during his tenure, and noting that the hospitality and appreciation he received will remain a source of personal pride.
In a different context, the Ambassador hosted a dinner at the Saudi mission headquarters in Port Sudan in honor of a delegation from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, headed by Professor Saif Al-Sabhi, in the presence of the Acting Minister of Health of Red Sea State, Dr. Ahlam Abdel Rasul Musa, and several officials.
The ambassador welcomed the delegation, praising the significant humanitarian role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in supporting affected populations, emphasizing that these initiatives embody the Kingdom’s humanitarian approach and its continued commitment to standing by Sudan, particularly in the health and humanitarian sectors.
He highlighted the importance of medical and treatment camps carried out by the center inside Sudan, due to their direct impact in alleviating patients’ suffering, transferring medical expertise, and strengthening health cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
The delegation includes 22 consultant and specialist doctors in endocrine surgery and general surgery. They are scheduled to implement a medical treatment camp from May 3 to May 9, 2026, at Port Sudan Teaching Hospital and the Maritime Ports Authority Hospital.
The camp aims to perform surgical operations for patients, provide free medical services, and facilitate the exchange of medical expertise while supporting the health sector. This is part of a series of humanitarian programs and initiatives implemented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in Sudan
