*24 Sudanese Arrive in Port Sudan Following Release by Egyptian Authorities* Sudanese voices Sun/10th of May [Sudanese voices follow up] A Sudanese government committee announced the deportation of 24 Sudanese nationals who had been released by Egyptian security authorities after being detained in connection with security campaigns related to residency and immigration violations. The committee stated that a special aircraft transported the deportees from the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to Port Sudan International Airport after completing all procedures related to their return. In a press statement issued on Sunday, the committee explained that it had finalized arrangements for the repatriation of the Sudanese citizens who were released from Egyptian prisons after being arrested for violations of residency laws. It also revealed that a flight operated by Sudan Airways (“SudanAir”) transported the released individuals from Cairo Airport to Port Sudan free of charge over the past few hours.
