The Central Committee of the Kanabi Congress has strongly condemned the demolition of citizen housing in the( Al-Mashrou) neighborhood of North Khartoum Bahri, near the railway line Carried out by the de facto government authorities in Port Sudan, the committee labeled these actions as arbitrary practices that violate fundamental human rights.
In a statement released on Friday, March 28, the committee expressed deep concern over the ongoing evictions.
It noted that these measures are part of a policy targeting residents of the margin (marginalized communities) and reflect practices that contradict the principles of justice and human rights.
The statement further emphasized that the gravity of this move is compounded by the harsh economic and humanitarian conditions Sudanese people are currently enduring due to the war.
These circumstances severely limited their ability to cope with new crises, particularly the loss of shelters and stability.
The Central Committee characterized forced eviction as a violation of international laws and conventions, most notably the right to safe housing and a life of dignity, and called for an immediate halt to these procedures.
Additionally, the committee issued an urgent appeal to the international community, specifically the United Nations and various human rights and humanitarian organizations.
They urged these bodies to take action and exert pressure to protect civilians and end what they described as policies of forced displacement.
Concluding the statement, the Central Committee of the Kanabi Congress affirmed its full solidarity with those affected, calling for the respect of human dignity and the protection of rights across all parts of Sudan.

أدانت مركزية مؤتمر الكنابي بشدة عمليات الإزالة التي طالت مساكن المواطنين في حي المشروع بمنطقة شمال الخرطوم بحري، جوار خط السكة الحديد، والتي تنفذها سلطات حكومة الأمر الواقع في بورتسودان، معتبرةً أنها تمثل ممارسات تعسفية تتنافى مع حقوق الإنسان الأساسية.
وقالت المركزية، في بيان صدر الجمعة 28 مارس٠
إنها تتابع بقلق بالغ التطورات المرتبطة بعمليات الإزالة، مشيرةً إلى أن هذه الإجراءات تأتي ضمن سياسات تستهدف سكان الهامش، وتعكس ممارسات تتعارض مع مبادئ العدالة وحقوق الإنسان.
وأضاف البيان أن خطورة هذه الخطوة تتضاعف في ظل الظروف الاقتصادية والإنسانية القاسية التي يعيشها السودانيون بسبب الحرب، ما يحد من قدرتهم على مواجهة أزمات جديدة، خاصة مع فقدان المأوى ومصادر الاستقرار.
واعتبرت المركزية أن الإزالة القسرية تمثل خرقًا للقوانين والمواثيق الدولية، وعلى رأسها الحق في السكن الآمن والعيش الكريم، داعيةً إلى وقف فوري لهذه الإجراءات.
كما وجهت نداءً عاجلًا إلى المجتمع الدولي، لا سيما الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الحقوقية والإنسانية، للتحرك والضغط من أجل حماية المدنيين ووقف ما وصفته بسياسات التهجير القسري.
وأكدت مركزية مؤتمر الكنابي تضامنها الكامل مع المتضررين، داعيةً إلى احترام كرامة الإنسان وصون حقوقه في جميع أنحاء السودان.
