*Authorities at Cairo Airport Prevent Entry of journalist Dura Qambo Despite Approvals*

Sudanese Voices Sat/16th /may The security authorities at Cairo International Airport detained journalist *Dura Qambo* inside the airport’s holding area since Friday and prevented her from entering Egyptian territory, despite her security approval that was obtained earlier before arriving( security clearance）. According to available information, she was informed upon arrival that she was listed among individuals banned from entry subsequently subjected to deportation procedures and returned to the Qatari capital, Doha. We express our full solidarity with journalist Dura Qambo and call for clarification regarding the circumstances of her detention and denial of entry, despite her having completed all required procedures in advance.
