The community has been witnessing a state of controversy following reports of a luxury car, valued at approximately $200,000, which was allegedly presented as a gift by an army commander to Major General Al-Nur Al-gubba However, an individual later came forward claiming to be the original owner, explaining that the car had been stolen during the recent during the lack of functioning of the Sudanese government.
The incident has sparked widespread public outrage and opened the door to serious questions regarding the mechanism of gifting private property
suspected to be looted
within political or military contexts. These events have led to accusations that stolen goods are being used as rewards for loyalists.
Activists have described the incident as a dangerous indicator of collapsing standards, asking:
