​International Quintet Converges in Addis Ababa to Push for Sudan Peace Next Wednesday ​Sudanese Voices Sunday, May 31 ​[Sudanese Voices Follow-up] ​The Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, will host meetings of the Quint Committee concerned with the Sudanese crisis next Wednesday at the African Union headquarters. The meetings will include the participation of Sudanese parties that took part in the Berlin Conference on Sudan. ​The committee consists of the United Nations, the European Union, the African Union, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), and the League of Arab States. Through these meetings, the committee seeks to bridge the gaps between Sudanese factions and advance political dialogue efforts based on the outcomes of the Berlin Conference. ​The meeting aims to prepare the ground for broader political negotiations that contribute to ending the ongoing conflict in Sudan, during the continuous regional and international efforts to support ceasefire initiatives and address the worsening humanitarian repercussions. ​These developments coincide with contacts and consultations being led by the UN Envoy to Sudan, *Pekka Haavisto* , within the framework of efforts aimed at enhancing the protection of civilians, de-escalating tensions, and supporting the path toward a political solution.
