*IGAD Launches Youth Alliance for Climate and Food Security*

Sudanese voices Mond/11/may [Sudanese voices follow up] Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) has announced the opening of applications for the Regional Youth Alliance on Climate and Climate-Resilient Agrifood Systems, an initiative aimed at strengthening youth participation in addressing environmental and food security challenges across member states, including Sudan. The organization said the initiative seeks to empower young people and support their innovations in sustainable agriculture, food security, and climate action through training, mentorship, and knowledge-exchange programs led by international experts. IGAD stated that the applicants must be citizens of member states aged between 18 and 35 and actively engaged in climate-related activities or green entrepreneurship. The application deadline is set for May 22.
